Painting music. How can you combine music and painting? A teaching model from the FFB painting school, painted by Martin Becker, music: Ode to Joy by Ludwig Van Beethoven, played by the Bavarian Radio Orchestra on 09.03.2022. For me, the pendulum is like a musical instrument, but with variable shapes and colours. First the bass, dark and tightly moulded, then the middle notes, very lively, as if disordered, brown with red. And finally the chorus to joy. The soprano is clearly bright yellow, a clear line with its centre as a yellow pigment spot. That’s all I wanted to put on it, to keep the picture very fine. This is how I paint music

Eine Lehrmodell aus der Malschule FFB, Gemalt von Martin Becker, Musik: Ode an die Freude von Ludwig Van Beethoven, Gespielt vom Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks am 09.03.2022. Für mich ist der Pendel wie ein Musikinstrument, aber mit variablen Formen und Farben. Zuerst der Bass, dunkel und eng geformt, dann die mittleren Töne, sehr lebendig, wie ungeordnet, Braun mit Rot. Und zum Schluss der Chor an die Freude. klar der Sopran hell gelb, klare Linie mit ihrem Mittelpunkt als gelber Pigmentfleckt. Mehr wollte ich nicht drauf tun, um das Bild ganz fein zu behalten.
