In today’s Friday Blog, we examine the sequoia trees and the human.
Fortunately, these trees are now protected, but this was not always the case. There was a „wood rush“ at the turn of the 19th century. I will report on this today.
Man has the ability to chop down everything he likes. As Einstein said:

im heutigen Friday Blog untersuchen wir die Mammutbäume und den Menschen. 
Zum Glück stehen diese Bäume jetzt unter Naturschutz, das war aber nicht immer so. Es gab in der Jahrhundertwende zum 19. Jahrhundert einen „Holzrausch“. Über diesen will ich heute berichten.
Der Mensch hat die Eigenschaft, alles klein zu hauen, was ihm gefällt. Wie sagte schon Einstein:
«Zwei Dinge sind unendlich, das Universum und die menschliche Dummheit, aber bei dem Universum bin ich mir noch nicht ganz sicher.»
